Lab Objective

To identify the various prophetic functions in Scripture and begin discerning your own prophetic tendencies, burdens, and areas of calling.

ACTIVATION 1 — Prophetic Archetype Assessment

Review the following prophetic types:

Seer Prophet

Receives visions, dreams, revelation.

Watchman Prophet

Warns and guards.

Intercessor Prophet

Carries burdens and prayer assignments.

Reformer Prophet

Calls people back to righteousness.

Governmental Prophet

Advises leaders and influences nations.

Psalmist Prophet

Receives prophetic worship and songs.

Revival Prophet

Calls for awakening and repentance.

Forerunner Prophet

Prepares the way for God's next move.

Warning Prophet

Alerts people to danger and judgment.

Which three resonate most with you?

Why?

ACTIVATION 2 — Study Your Spiritual Burdens

Ask yourself:

What burdens do I carry most often?

  • Their primary assignment

  • Their impact on God's people

ACTIVATION 4 — Prayer of Discovery

Pray:

"Lord, reveal the burdens and assignments You have placed upon my life."

Spend 20 minutes in prayer and journaling.

Record:

  • Impressions

  • Recurring themes

  • Areas of passion

ACTIVATION 5 — Ministry Reflection

Answer:

If God gave me a microphone today, what message would I most likely preach?

The answer often reveals your prophetic burden.
