PROPHETIC LAB

The School of the Prophets in the Bible Lab Objective To discover how prophets were trained in Scripture and identify the principles that made prophetic schools effective.

ACTIVATION 1 — Biblical Investigation Read: 1 Samuel 10:5-10 Answer: What was happening among the prophets? Why was worship present? What role did the prophetic community play? Journal observations.

ACTIVATION 2 — Samuel's Model Study: 1 Samuel 19:18-24 Write: What was Samuel teaching? Why did prophets gather together? What can modern prophetic schools learn from this model?

ACTIVATION 3 — Elijah & Elisha Read: 2 Kings 2 Identify: Mentorship principles Character development Loyalty Impartation Accountability

ACTIVATION 4 — Community vs Isolation Answer honestly: Do I prefer learning alone? Do I receive correction well? Why did God place prophets in community? Journal your response.

ASSIGNMENT 2–3 Page Paper "What Made the School of the Prophets Effective?" Include: Samuel's contribution Elijah's contribution Elisha's contribution Importance of mentorship Importance of community Modern application

FINAL CHALLENGE

Ask yourself: "Am I seeking prophetic power, or am I willing to submit to prophetic process?" Because in Scripture, prophets were rarely self-made. They were developed through relationship, mentorship, discipline, and time.
